Avenel
A visit to the unique village of Avenel will reveal a thriving community with a rich history from the Kelly Gang era, still celebrated every year at the Hughes Creek Bridge where, as an 11 year old, Ned Kelly rescued a boy from drowning.
Avenel boasts a collection of beautiful historic buildings and bridges that have been recreated into unique accommodation houses and businesses, including an antique store and café, traditional butcher, beauty therapist, general store and monthly Sunday produce market site.
