Beveridge

Only 42 km from Melbourne, on the Hume Highway, is the small town of Beveridge. Beveridge has its place in history as being the birthplace of notorious bushranger Ned Kelly, and the historic Ned Kelly home still stands today. An historic bluestone Gothic church – formerly the Roman Catholic Church - also still stands and is presumed to be where the Kelly family worshipped. Mt Bland, the backdrop to Beveridge, stands out in contrast to a landscape otherwise known for its expansive plains.
