Euroa

In the 1850’s Euroa was a famous gold rush town but became infamous for the 1878 National Bank hold up by Australia’s best known bushranger, Ned Kelly and the Kelly Gang.

Built on the banks of Seven Creeks waterways, the Euroa town centre is picturesque with towering native trees and is flanked by historic buildings from the 1800’s including the Post Office, one of the former National Bank buildings, the Euroa Hotel and Blairgowrie House.

Euroa is well known for the production of fine wool and each year celebrates its history during the Wool Week Festival held in October in conjunction with Euroa's Agricultural Show.

Euroa’s proximity to the Strathbogie Ranges makes it an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty of the area, including a number of picturesque creeks, waterfalls and tourist drives through the mountain ranges.
