Play a round or make a weekend of it at one of the many established and picturesque golf courses throughout our region.
The stunning Marysville Golf and Bowls Club is nestled in a fertile valley and boasts elevated tees opening on to long scenic fairways and interesting par 3 holes.
If uncrowded and challenging is what you desire, you can’t go past the Yea Golf Club. ‘Royal Yea’ boasts irrigated grass greens and fairways amid the rolling hills.
Further north, a trio of courses is perfectly positioned for a weekend getaway. Shepparton Golf Course is rated among the top 10 courses in rural Victoria, while on the other side of the Goulburn River, the Mooroopna Golf Club course will challenge you with its sweeping and perfectly manicured fairways. The Hilltop Golf and Country Club, Tatura is a renowned par 71 championship course, with over 40 bunkers that will test even the most skilled hacker.

Lake Mountain
The Goulburn River Valley Region is home to Lake Mountain, Melbourne’s closest and most affordable alpine resort. With 30km of cross-country ski trails, toboggan slopes and snow-play areas, Lake Mountain is a winter wonderland for the whole family.
But don’t just visit in winter; pack the bikes during summer and you can experience road cycling and mountain bike riding through fantastic ski trails offering a perfect platform for beginners.
An extensive trail network is being built upon every year, along with plans for an iconic trail to link Lake Mountain to Marysville.
If bushwalking is more your style, Lake Mountain offers over 30km of walking trails to explore, including the highest point on Lake Mountain, 1480m above sea level.

Strictly for adrenalin junkies – why not strap yourself in for the ultimate Goulburn River Valley experience as you skydive from 14,000 feet above Nagambie Lakes?
The Parachute School, Nagambie takes skydiving to the extreme and will ensure you never forget your visit to the region, with the highest 65-second freefall in Australia. This life-changing experience will give you a new perspective of the Goulburn River Valley Region.
Challenge Paintball is the ultimate adrenalin-charged adventure game at Adrenalin Games, Wallan. You’ll play in the forts, trenches, barricades, huts and some of the best bush fields in the country. Camouflage overalls, full-face protective goggles and neck protection are supplied.
