The Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail is one of the longest rail trails in Australia and is the longest in Victoria. Stretching 134km the shared bicycle, walking and bridle trail connects towns and communities through the heart of the Goulburn River Valley region.

Scenery: Rural, farmland, remnant forest, townships

Key attractions: Cheviot Tunnel, small townships, Goulburn River, mountain biking, fishing and bushwalking in summer, and skiing and snow sports in winter.

Surface: This 134km trail is mainly bitumised granite, suitable for all uses, with some sections finished with compacted gravel. These sections may not be suitable for wheel chairs and prams.

Difficulty: Easy, suitable for all types of rider
