The vision of the Victorian Tourism Awards program is to encourage, celebrate and help publicise business excellence in the industry. The awards are a key tool to drive help business development in this wonderful industry of ours.
That is why I was so pleased to join with nearly 1000 colleagues from across the state on Thursday 24 November 2016 to celebrate the efforts and achievements of all entrants, but particularly those from our region.
Congratulations go to the following on their success:
- Gold – Holmesglen at Eildon – Business Event Venues
- Bronze – The Churches Orrvale – Self Contained Accommodation
- Finalist – The Shepparton Motor Museum and Collectibles Limited – Tourist Attractions
- Finalist – Greater Shepparton City Council – Local Government Award for Tourism
It is a testament to each of these organisations that they took the time and made the commitment to their business, not only to enter the 2016 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards this year, but to come away with success.
Goulburn River Valley Tourism is particularly pleased to have been able to facilitate mentoring support for first time entrants The Churches and The Shepparton Motor Museum to help them with their submission. This follows on from another positive result in 2015 when all three first time entrants from the Goulburn River Valley region were successful in taking out an award.
So if you are already thinking about next year and have an interest in entering the Victorian Tourism Awards, why not talk to us to see what help and assistance may be available.
Who knows, this time next year it might be your business that we are celebrating.
