Title: Seven Creeks Hotel
Long: The family who institutionalised gastronomic pub food in Melbourne with the Lemon Tree and Alphington House Wine Bar are still at it decades later. The Murphy family are proud to announce the relaunch of The Seven’s Creek Hotel in Euroa with a fresh renovation to the 160 year old Victorian heritage building, and a contemporary country menu.
Annie, Jane and Finbar Murphy have lovingly crafted a homely and comfortable country stay. Open fire places in each of the three bars creates an enveloping warmth that instantly distances you from the hustle and bustle of a city that lies only an hour and a half away to the south. Euroa is also well situated south of Albury and just a stone’s throw from Shepparton and Nagambie.
The root of The Seven’s success has always been the modern country food made from local produce, delivering quintessential homely tastes. This winter, guests can expect the same sophistication with mouth watering pates, terrines, fresh market fish, duck confit and their famous Murphy’s Fine Irish Pie. Local wines from the Strathbogie Ranges and boutique beers compliment the winter warmers perfectly.
Should a warm winter’s day greet you, the garden provides a beautiful setting to enjoy a drink and grazing plate with local cheeses.
Upstairs, the rooms have been delightfully renovated with essential creature comforts such as fresh white linen and warm quilts. Guests can enjoy a morning coffee on the balcony that overlooks the park.
