About Us
Goulburn River Valley Tourism operates as the peak regional tourism organisation for the Goulburn River Valley region.
Established in July 2009 under the 'United Tourism' name, Goulburn River Valley Tourism operates as a non-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee.
Goulburn River Valley Tourism is a partnership between Local Councils and the tourism industry.
An Independent Chairperson drives the Goulburn River Valley Tourism board’s effectiveness, enabling the business of Goulburn River Valley Tourism to be managed by the Directors to promote its strategic development and growth.

Bernard Morris
Chairman
As Chairman of Goulburn River Valley Tourism, Bernard brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing organisations, an understanding of the investment process, a strong IT background and proven commercial skills. Bernard has held a number of Director roles and has directly contributed to submissions made to Government on the operation of Corporation and Superannuation law.
Residing in Tallarook with his wife, Bernard is a member of the Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail Advisory Committee. He also holds a variety of positions in the “not for profit” sector including Director of Try Youth Australia, a member of the Committee of Management of Big Brothers Big Sisters Melbourne, Honorary Treasurer of Riding for the Disabled, Seymour and is on the Committee of Management of The Tallarook Mechanics Institute.
Wendy Jones

Wendy's most recent role has been Chief Executive Officer of Butt Free Australia, she has also held roles including Chief Executive Officer Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria, Chief Executive Officer Restaurants and Catering Association of Victoria, Acting Chair and Board Member Top End Group Training Company, Member of Faculty Board Faculty of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies and Treasurer & Executive Committee Member Tourism Council Australia - Northern Territory.
Brad Quilliam

Brad is the owner and proprietor of Roda Graphics and has 28 years experience in the printing and graphic arts industry servicing large corporations including Coles Myer, Big W, Pfizer, CSL and John Holland.
Brad has held a variety of positions including President of the Banyule Business Network International, Coordinator Kinglake Ranges Business Network, Coordinator Kinglake Ranges Visual and Performing Arts Alliance, Coordinator Kinglake Festival Committee, committee member Kinglake Ranges Urban Design Framework panel, committee member Kinglake Produce and Artisan Market and member of the Mitchell Murrindindi Bushfire Tourism Recovery Group and Kinglake Ranges Community Recovery Committee.
Sandra Vazzoler
Director
Sandra is the owner and proprietor of Longleat Winery in Murchison and a qualified and committed mentor, winning the 2007 International Specialised Skills Institute Fellowship that saw Sandra travel to Italy to learn the art of producing lesser known mountain cheeses, a talent she now mentors young cheese-makers in. Today Sandra with husband Guido offer specialized cheeses matched to wines at the Cellar Door of Longleat Winery.
Sandra has held a variety of positions including member of Tourism Greater Shepparton, member of the Upper Goulburn Food and Wine Group and member of the Goulburn River and Ranges committee.
Cherie Crawford
Director
Cherie is a Councillor at the City of Greater Shepparton with a wealth of experiences, achievements and qualifications including a Bachelor Arts Community Development and Shepparton BPW - Business Woman of The Year. Cherie was Shire President under the previous local government structure Shire of Rodney and was Commissioner with Moira Shire Council during their local government restructure. She is currently the President of the Victorian Wakeful Club Inc.
Cherie is a successful and respected identity within the Racing and Breeding Industry and is actively involved in the organisation and with operations at her establishment.
Over the past 10 years Cherie has studied and been involved in the Tourism Industry as a Professional Tour Director both with the overseas and domestic markets. Her latest and present areas of employment being with the Australian owned worldwide company Australian Pacific Touring, APT.
Cherie is passionate about tourism and seeing the economic and financial benefit to regional centres derived from tourism.
Purdey Sanderson
Director
Purdey Sanderson (Grad. Dip. Media / Communications, Adv. Cert. in Public Relations / Strategic Planning and Ba. Arts Journalism, International Relations) currently holds the position of Manager - Communications at the Strathbogie Shire Council. Purdey has an extensive background in Public Relations / Communications, Tourism and Community Education, having previously held positions as Manager – Youth Connections for Campaspe College of Adult Education, Tourism Manager at Deniliquin Council and Public Relations Manager for VicTrack in Melbourne.
Purdey has been involved in Riverina Tourism in NSW, has a passion for food and wine experiences in particular.
Graeme Dove

Graeme is the Dealer Principal of Seymour Toyota, member of the Mitchell/Murrindindi Bushfire Tourism Recovery Group, Chairman of the Mitchell Shire Economic Development Advisory Committee and former Chairman of the Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce.
Bob Elkington
Director
Bob has been the Manager Economic Development and Tourism at Murrindindi Shire Council since 2005. Prior to this role, Bob worked in the not for profit education sector as Executive Director of the Victorian Division of the Outdoor Education Group based in Eildon.
Bob is currently a Board member of the Central Ranges Local Learning and Employment Network and represents Council in a range of organisations including the Marysville and Triangle Economic Leadership Group, Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail Community Advisory and Marketing Committees and the Murrindindi Training Institute steering committee. Bob also has a strong link to Yarra Ranges Regional Marketing via his role on the Marysville and Triangle Marketing and Events advisory committee.
A little closer to home, Bob is a community representative on the Alexandra Recreation Reserve committee of management.
Joseph Tabacco
Director
Joseph is the Manager Economic Development, Marketing and Communications for Mitchell Shire Council. Prior to this role Joseph was the acting Manager of Business Growth and Sustainability at the Shire of Melton. Part of his role required the coordination of Council’s Economic Development and Tourism team which also included the management of an accredited visitor information centre. Joseph brings a wealth of experience to the board, having contributed to several tourism organisations including Melbourne’s Valley of the Arts and Western Melbourne Tourism. Joseph has also worked for Manningham, Banyule and Hume City Councils.
